CONSULTATION During the initial consultation (via email or by phone), we take into consideration your skin and hair type, including details such indoor/outdoor, season, theme,dress, hair accessories and jewelry to then decide on the right look, cosmetics and hair products to use.
TRIAL. The best decision you can make, is to schedule a trial. Ideally, you don’t wanna try anything new the day of your event. A trial is a good opportunity to wear the makeup and hair and see how you feel and how your look holds throughout the day. I strongly believe clients should feel like themselves on their special event. Our goal is to create a better version of yourself without compromising your natural beauty in the process. We encourage clients to sends us inspiration images of what they have in mind for makeup and hair, www.pinterest.com is a great platform where you will find a large gallery with different makeup and hair ideas. Email us a photo of yourself and a photo of the back of your hair with the hair texture you will come to the appointment with. Please allow 1-1.5 hrs for your makeup or hair, and 2-2.5hours for both makeup and hair. Times vary depending on the look.
HOW DO I BOOK YOU FOR MY WEDDING / EVENT A booking fee of $50 is required in order to secure your event date as booked. The booking fee is a payment that apply towards the total cost of services. No date will be held without a booking fee. A signed contract as well as 50% of the total cost of bridal services (trial, day-of makeup, etc.) is required at the time of your bridal makeup trial. The remaining balance is due on the wedding / event day. Bridal party payments are due at the time of service.
I AM NOT SURE WHAT MAKEUP LOOK I WANT ON MY SPECIAL DAY, CAN YOU HELP. Yes absolutely! I suggest you begin looking through Pinterest or other social media outlets and finding several make-up photos that you like. On your bridal trial, we will create a look based on what you like that will fit you, and help you create the look you are hoping to achieve, from vintage to modern to natural. We will also help you identify and accentuate your most flattering features to reveal your natural beauty. It can be daunting trying to find a look that you want, but I promise the process will be painless.
DO I COME TO YOU, OR DO YOU TRAVEL TO MY LOCATION We will do whatever works best for you. We have some clients that come to us but the majority of clients want us to come to their location. Coming to you helps to reduce time and stress for that day and also helps things flow smoothly for you. We want you to be most comfortable.
WHAT IF IM NOT USED TO WEARING MAKEUP? We always work with each client to ensure he or she looks their absolute best. If you are unsure about makeup, we will work together to create a look that enhances your best features and plays down the areas you may not be as happy with. We don’t want you to feel that we’ve transformed you into someone no one recognizes anymore – unless that's how you want to look!
WHAT MAKEUP BRANDS DO YOU USE? I use a wide range of products from many different brands. Only high quality and high performing products are in our kit to ensure your makeup is flawless on camera. All products are tested for performance prior to making it into our collection. Please contact us with any questions regarding allergies in your party.
WILL MY MAKEUP LAST ALL NIGHT? Absolutely. A true professional makeup application will last the full duration of your event. Not only are the eyes and skin prepared with the proper skin care and priming products, but you will be set and finished with professional powders and sprays that seal in and help fix the makeup in place. All the products in between the prepping and sealing are chosen for their longevity and high performance in all tear/sweat and weather conditions.
WHAT SIZE PARTY CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE? Each artist can do up to 8 people comfortably provided we have enough time. It all depends on what time you have to be ready. We usually would add on additional makeup artists and hairstylist to assist.
HOW LONG WILL MY MAKEUP APPLICATION TAKE? When booking your special occasion makeup appointment, please allow for one hour and 15 minutes. If you are booking a bridal makeup trial, please allow 2 hours’ time. If you are bride, please allow 1 hour and 30 minutes for yourself and one hour per member of the bridal party on the wedding / event day.
CHOOSING THE CORRECT MAKEUP FOR YOUR EVENT
Matte: Has no sheen and no glow to it but highlights and contour can still be created.
Dewy: Look is a very radiant finish.
Natural: Is in between radiant and matte, this is the preferred look by most clients.
We are very careful when choosing the proper skin care for each client. Let us know if you are dry, normal, sensitive or oily skin type. Let us know if you any skin allergies or sensitivities.
DO YOU ALSO DO HAIR? Yes, we offer both hair and makeup for your event. Please let us know you are interested when you contact us.
HOW DO I PREP MY HAIR THE DAY OF? Come with dry hair (unless we have scheduled you for a blow out or diffusing your curls). Typically, hair texture is better with a day old hair, hair styles won't hold as well when the hair is freshly washed because it has to much movement. Shampoo your scalp and condition only the ends the day before, try to use a light weight conditioner unless you are going for a sleek flat iron look. If you have oily scalp, shampoo twice. If your scalp is slightly oily for your appointment, we have the right products to take care of that. If you have extremely oily scalp, let us know to plan accordingly.
-Let us know if you are planning on wearing hair extensions. If this are new, shampoo them twice and rinse conditioner thoroughly.
-Let us know if you use a leave-in conditioner, serums or any other hair styling products.
-Bring your veil, hair accessories and earrings, if any.
HOW DO I PREP MY MAKEUP THE DAY OF? Come with no makeup, no mascara, no eyeliner. Old, clumpy mascara can totally ruin the look. We try to not remove heavy mascara during your appointment to reduce tearing and redness around the delicate eye area. Using the right products will help your makeup stay on longer without compromising the final look. We provide false lashes, let us know if you have eyelash extensions we need to fill-in.
AIRBRUSH VS TRADITIONAL MAKEUP? Unlike traditional makeup, Airbrush Makeup is a gently, smooth and flawless makeup application that consist of spraying a fine mist of liquid foundation onto the skin through an airbrush gun, the look will be more of a matte finish. Traditional Makeup is press onto the skin with a makeup sponge to create a seamless look with a dewy or matte finish.
WHAT OTHER PRODUCTS DO YOU HAVE? We only use high end professional products. We use the same cosmetics as when we work on celebrities, this includes: high definition cosmetics that photograph flawless and seamless. All the lashes we use are 100% human hair. The cosmetics we use are long wear and if needed, waterproof.
HOW LONG WILL MY MAKEUP LAST? Your makeup and hair will last all day, please keep in mind that minimal touch ups may be needed throughout your event, specially for outdoor and beach weddings in the summer and for rainy, windy and humid days. Let us know if you will need touch ups throughout the event.
WHEN IS THE FINAL BALANCE DUE? Yes, detailed customized steps to learn the fundamentals of makeup and skin care, ending with tips for touching up and product recommendation.
DO YOU TRAVEL? We do travel! We are available for destination weddings / events all of the world.
WHAT IS YOUR TRAVEL FEE? We offer 25 miles round-trip complimentary with each event booking. After 25 miles, $1.00 per mile will be figured into the total cost of the services. If a second makeup artist is required or requested, the travel fee will duplicate. If travel time exceeds 2 hours, a hotel accommodation may be required for the makeup artist. This fee includes driving time, gas expenses, travel mileage & maintenance following.
WHEN IS THE FINAL BALANCE DUE? The final balance is due on the date of your event and must be paid in cash or credit card on that day.
WHAT FORM OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT? We accept Cash, Credit Card, Skrill, Venmo and Squareup invoice. . If it is on the day of for any reason, we accept CC or Cash after the service. Your booking deposit will also be applied.
